UNITY's House Program is located in Unit 3 on the first floor of Spens-Black, one of the five residential buildings in the complex, with it's Resource Center conveniently located in the Unit 3 Central Building. Located one block from campus, the complex has a dining hall and “Bear Market” at it’s center, as well as a recreation lounge for each Residence Hall. Each room has extra long twin beds, closets, desks, and campus free-wifi. The floor has double and triple rooms available, with an all gender inclusive floor bathroom. Most rooms in UNITY accommodate three first-year students and one of the special features of this program is the gender inclusive roommate option. Additional features of the living space are live-in resource professionals, a Unit-wide laundry room, vending machines, study spaces, the security monitor program, and the Academic Learning center which offers tutoring, peer advising, copy and fax services, and computers and printers.
Living on the floor is a unique experience to and opportunity to live in a multiplicitous queer space. For more information about Unit 3, including amenities and features, academic services, and more, please visit housing.berkeley.edu.
