Educational Opportunities

The UNITY Resource Center has several educational opportunities available by request for members of the UC Berkeley residential communities.  Please check out these options below and if you are interested, complete an Educational Request Form:

Project CommUNITY (LGBTQ 101 Training)

This is our LGBTQ 101 training for the residence halls and for student leaders.  In this presentation, we cover basic terminology, campus climate, issues facing the queer community, and basic skills for allyship.

Gender Minorities 101

Gender Minorities 101 is the UNITY Resource Center's introductory education program designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to support transgender, gender non-conforming, and gender questioning individuals at UC Berkeley.

OUTspoken Speakers Bureau

The OUTspoken Speakers Bureau program educates allows residence hall staff to invite the UNITY Interns into their communities to educate the community about sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression through panel discussions. Interns  are prepared to disseminate accurate information, to answer questions that students and staff may have about the realities of LGBT lives, including current events facing the community.
